Peel Treatment FAQs

Professional & Clear

1. What’s the Difference Between Lactic Acid and Glycolic Acid?

Lactic acid offers a gentler exfoliation, making it ideal for dry, sensitive skin and first-time users. It hydrates while lightly resurfacing the skin.

Glycolic acid penetrates deeper, targeting wrinkles, scars, and hyperpigmentation. It’s more powerful, but may be too strong for those with sensitive skin.

2. What is the pH Level of Your Acids?

Our unbuffered acids range from pH 1.0 to 3.5, designed for deeper exfoliation. Stronger acids must be diluted with water to match your skin’s tolerance. A patch test is always recommended.

3. I'm New to Peels — What Strength Should I Start With?

Begin with a peel no stronger than 30%. Let your skin build tolerance gradually before using higher strengths. Always dilute and do a patch test to see how your skin reacts.

4. How Long Should I Leave the Peel On?

If you’re new, limit peel time to 30–60 seconds and increase only as your skin adapts. Never exceed 10 minutes, even if you're experienced. Leaving peels on too long can cause irritation or burns.

5. How Often Should I Use a Peel?

Start with once every 10–14 days, then adjust based on your skin’s reaction. Avoid overuse. Always follow with sunscreen to protect your skin.
